Irish payroll terms and the words Payroll Manager uses, in alphabetical order.
A
AEPN (Auto-Enrolment Pension Notification)
The list from MyFutureFund of which employees are enrolled in the auto-enrolment pension and from when. You import it into Payroll Manager before calculating. See MyFutureFund.

C
Calculate
Work out gross pay, tax, USC, PRSI, pension and net pay for every employee in a payroll run. You can calculate a draft as often as you like.

E

Emergency basis
How tax is worked out when Revenue has no RPN for a person, for example because they have no PPSN yet. Higher tax is taken until Revenue issues an RPN.

A note on a timesheet row that a person needs to sort out: New person (someone not on the payroll yet) or Unclear name.
G
Gross pay
Pay before any deductions.
